✅ DO’S:

• Keep it clean: Gently wash your tattoo 2–3 times a day with lukewarm water and mild, fragrance-free, anti bacterial soap (Band-Aid Brand Kids Antiseptic Liquid Foam Soap).

• Pat dry: Use a clean paper towel to gently pat the area dry. Avoid rubbing.

• Apply ointment or lotion: Use a very thin layer of healing ointment (Vitamin E or Aquaphor) or a tattoo balm (HustleButter, Mad Rabbit, etc). Switch to a light, unscented oil or lotion (Coconut Oil or Lubriderm) after a 7-10 days as it starts to heal.

• Wear loose clothing: Let your skin breathe. Avoid tight or abrasive clothing over the tattooed area.

• Stay hydrated & eat well: Proper healing comes from the inside too.

• Protect from the sun: Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight. After it heals completely, typically 2 weeks, use SPF to protect the ink.

❌ DON’TS:

• Don’t pick or scratch: Let it flake and peel naturally. Picking can cause scarring or ink loss.

• Don’t submerge: Avoid pools, hot tubs, oceans, or baths for at least 2–3 weeks. Including saunas & stem rooms.

• Don’t over-apply ointment: Too much moisture can suffocate your skin, delay healing, and cause infection.

• Don’t expose to sun: No tanning or prolonged sun exposure until fully healed.

• Don’t wear tight or dirty clothing: This can rub, irritate, and introduce bacteria to the healing area.

• Don’t touch with dirty hands: Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo and applying tattoo healing ointments.

Healing time: Usually 2–4 weeks depending on the person and size of the tattoo.

If you notice signs of infection (pus, excessive redness, swelling, or fever), contact your artist or a healthcare professional immediately.
